Would you like to try play-reading? Maybe a Greek Classic play, a Restoration Drama, a Black Comedy or a ‘Whodunnit’? 

We usually sit in a circle round a well-lit table, so we can see each other’s faces and hear well.  Play readers have to be adaptable, sometimes reading two or more parts. There’s opportunity for local accent, class intonation, whatever it takes to bring a character to life.  We share a synopsis of the plot beforehand which may describe the relationships between characters - as we don’t have a lot of time to get into our roles.   It’s most enjoyable!
