Bonjour à tous! 

The French Conversation Group had its first meeting in February 2026. Most meetings are hosted in the Harpenden home of one of our members on the first Monday of each month, from 2.30pm to 4pm. Dates may be adjusted for Bank Holidays. 

The aim of this group is to have fun chatting in French. Level varies from slightly rusty O level to fluent, but we are all eager to improve our own French and help each other to speak more fluently and confidently. 

For each meeting we usually prepare a topic in advance to chat about (not compulsory), then listen to and discuss a recording by a native French speaker. The format is very flexible. Importantly, it usually includes a cuppa and biscuits.  We currently have 9 members which is about the maximum number for a workable conversation group. We have started a waiting list in case anyone drops out or there are sufficient numbets for a second group, so please make contact if you are interested, via the link above.
